Garbage to Play Full Debut Album on '20 Years of Queer' Tour

Garbage to Play Full Debut Album on '20 Years of Queer' Tour:

Garbage will celebrate two decades of alt-rock craftsmanship with their "20 Years of Queer" Tour, which kicks off October 6th in San Diego. The American run – which will include a front-to-back performance of their self-titled 1995 debut LP – runs throughout the month, followed by a European jaunt that begins October 31st in Cologne, Germany. Singer-songwriter Torres will support the band on their U.S. dates, with indie-pop outfit Dutch Uncles opening on all but one of the European shows.

"Garbage was born out of such unusual elements and unusual circumstances, and we were shocked when the first record became such a success," guitarist Steve Marker said in a statement. "We're just as surprised to be here now, intact, so many years later, enthusiastically preparing to get back on the road with that album and all its attendant B-sides and lord knows what else. A big piece of our lives remains caught up in the making of that record, and we know it holds a special place for the fans that have kept us going for so long. We can't wait. This tour is going to be a blast."

Tickets go on sale Friday, June 12th. The band is offering VIP experience packages for the U.S. tour – including "premium seating, sound check access, meet and greets, soundboard viewing and exclusive merch" – through Adventures in Wonderland.

Garbage have also prepped a special remastered 20th anniversary reissue of their 1995 LP, which features remixes and previously unreleased versions of the songs. The release is expected to hit shelves this summer.
